Day 289
Jeremiah 32:26-34:22, 1 Timothy 1:1-20, Psalms 119:41-48
How much does God now? How much more is there for us to find out?
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know”.
Wikipedia is great, you can find out practically everything you need to know. Where Wikipedia fails, Google usually picks up the pieces and where they fail, it will be written down somewhere in the British Library. Us humans know a lot of stuff. We have broken the human body down to the smallest cell, and then gone even deeper. We have sent probes to the deepest part of the universe that we can get to for now and we have gone to the deepest part of the oceans and found some of the weirdest forms of life. We know a lot, but we don’t know everything. So how much does God know, how much is in his mind!
Moving through to the start of the letter to Timothy, one thing that Paul is great at talking about is grace, and in all honesty it is not a bad subject to talk about. Jeremiah today included quite a bit of judgement and yet grace is the point at which God stepped beyond judgement, and due to his love for us, gave us Christ. “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”.
Spend some time knowing that the grace of the Lord was poured out on you abundantly.
