Jeremiah 52:1-34, Titus 1:1-16, Psalms 119:105-112

As we come nearer the end of this trip through the Bible, I have been finding more and more reminders about why awe are doing it. Recently we had the fact that all scripture is God breathed and today we are reminded that the word of the Lord is the lamp that lights our paths.

When we live by the word of the Lord, when w follow what God has instructed and said by his word, then we do tend to find that the path is easier. It is never perfectly smooth but the going is a lot easier than if we ignored God’s word. The Bible is there for our instruction as we journey with God and it is the greatest source of instruction that we could ask for.

The Word made flesh, in Christ Jesus, also brings light to our lives and brings the greatest possible light that we could ask for. The light that Christ brings to us eclipses even the sun as he is the source of all light.

Perhaps all we need for today is to focus on that light. Focus on the Word of God (written) and The Word (living in Christ) and bring it into your life and the path you are walking. Spend some time with the Word and the light today.
