Day 314
Ezekiel 19:1-20:44, Hebrews 10:1-18, Psalm 122:1-9
The message today is simple and yet vital. We looked a couple of days ago at how we sometimes hold on to forgiven sin. We keep it in our hearts and beat ourselves up about it.
Paul is clear though, God does not keep a record of our wrongs so we shouldn’t either. When we are forgiven, we are forgiven. Sometime the language that we use is to say that “the slate is wiped clean”. Unlike deleted files being recoverable on a computer, when you wipe a slate there is no way of getting the words back. God wipes our slate clean so there is no way of getting our sin back. They are gone.
“Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.”
We said it a couple of days ago but it is worth saying again. Know today that you are truly forgiven.
