“his love endures for ever”

Daniel said to Belshazzar that God had him and his life in his hands. If you imagine that God has the whole world in his hands, he has the universe, every star and planet, every bit of matter and antimatter in his hands. And yet when the time counts, he has just you there, all of the other stuff is put on one side and he holds you in the centre of his hands, the biggest, most powerful, nail scarred hands holding you tight.

Why? Because his love endures forever. Beyond the time when every start has collapsed in on itself and all life is in him for eternity, his love will endure. A love that is for you personally, held deep within the safety and security of those hands.

You may feel like you are in the midst of the lions den and yet know that the angels are there with you and you are safe in the hands of the one who will love you for all eternity.
