Going slow due to fog
I don’t know whether you get much fog in the desert. My rudimentary weather knowledge would suggest not, but I may be wrong. So I don’t know how much fog Jesus encountered in the wilderness but what I can tell you is that I am encountering a fair bit.
I had hoped to be blogging some real answers and insights that I may have found along the journey of Lent and so there have been days when I have not blogged because there have been none.
Instead what I should be blogging is the truth – and the truth is that fog is very foggy when you are stuck in the middle of it. Tonight I probably should have been thinking deep theologically thoughts and trying to find a way out of my theological fog, instead I tidied my study. I think it was getting towards the end of the task that I felt the fog thinning just a little and had my revelation that this was part of my wilderness, part of my blog.
So I hope to emerge from the fog bank soon.
