Where are you Lord?

Where are you Lord?

I'm struggling to see you for the trees.

Things have got in the way,

I have got in the way.

 

I'm left wondering,

Wondering how,

Wondering why.

 

When you are so important to me,

When you love me with such devotion,

When you have given me the perfect light of Christ,

When you have been so generous,

How could I get distracted?

Why would I lose sight of you?

 

And so I'm Sorry!

Sorry that I have let so much get between us.

Sorry that I have lost touch.

Sorry that I have forgotten your perfect life giving love.

 

Christ, shine in my darkness.

Where there are shadows, shine grace.

Where there is despair, shine peace.

Where I have lost hope, shine your love.

 

So that in your light I can see all things,

See that I am not alone,

See that you are there,

See that I am made new.
