Day 238
2 Chronicles 26:1-28:27, 2 Corinthians 1:1-11, Psalms 103:1-12
Paul starts this letter offering comfort to the people at Corinth. He wants to help them when they are feeling persecuted and even tells them how bad it is for him, but despite that he holds comfort in Christ, really trying to build them up. Paul often writes to churches because he has to deal with a problem in that particular place you start of on a good note here. On the other hand he could just be going for the bad new sandwich, tell them something good, then slip in the bad news and then end on a positive. Let’s read on to find out!
On the other hand, Psalm 103 is one of those that you want to print off and put on your wall. For starters it has one of my favourite words in their – praise. Take the opportunity to read it again, pausing on each verse to take in the significance of that statement for you.
If you are feeling low in mood and spirit – v4
If there is an awareness of sin – v8 -10 (read them separately though)
If you are feeling under valued or unloved – v11
This Psalm really does lift the mood and bring you closer in your relationship with the all powerful God who cares. Spend a moment today with these verses.
