Day 274

Jeremiah 2:31-4:9, Philippians 2:12-30, Psalm 115:12-18

274 days in and I keep finding God drawing me back to the night sky. Right at the start of creation back on day 1 I was struck by the stars and the vastness of all that God has created and then on a number of occasions on the journey God has brought me back to them.

Here it got me thinking about the beauty of the stars, the power of the stars and just how many stars there are. Of the sun is a star and some stars are more powerful then the sun then there is a lot of power in the universe. And here Paul is telling us that we need to shine with that power.

Stars are all about light, they are suns that are far off, the light they hold is subtle and gentle compared to the sun. By living as Paul explains here we are to be stars shining the light of Christ not so bright that it burns people but still with the intensity of the sun, so that people come to know the subtle yet powerful love of Christ tied up in the cross.
